What is Recovery and how can DAPL help?

Recovery is about you deciding what you want from your life and your recovery and being supported to get it.
Recovery is about being in control.
Here at DAPL we believe that the only person who really knows what you want from your recovery is you and our role is too help you decide what that is and help you achieve your goals.
DAPL has a dedicated Recovery Worker with lived experience of addiction and recovery to offer support and help as you decide the route of your Recovery journey.
The services we can offer include:
Recovery can mean different things to us all but at the heart of recovery is the process of reclaiming our life back from our addictions or substance issues.

  • 1-2-1 Recovery Planning – to help you focus on what you want from your life and what help is available to you.
  • SMART Recovery groups – mutual aid groups of people like yourself to come together and support each other.
  • Auricular Acupuncture – Specially designed ear acupuncture to help with cravings, stress and sleep.
  • 1-2-1 Counselling – to help you explore the roots of your issues with a qualified, friendly and empathic counsellor who cares.
  • Art Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy and Group Therapy – something for everyone
